2014-Ongoing: post-doc fellowship in Volcanology, Roma Tre University

2011 – 2014:  PhD student in Environmental and Resource Geology, Roma Tre University.
Thesis: " Large-scale Plinian eruptions of the Colli Albani  and the Campi Flegrei volcanoes: insights from textural and rheological studies " Tutor: Prof Claudia Romano; Co-Tutors: Prof Guido Giordano, Dr Alessandro Vona.

2010: M.Sc. in Geoenvironmental resources and risks at Camerino University.
Thesis (cum laude) on "Experimental study on the kinetics of pyroxene growth and plagioclase dissolution in Stromboli magmas " Tutor: Prof. Michael Robert Carroll; Co-Tutor: Dr. Andrea Fortunati.

Research activities (Volcanology, Petrography, Geochemistry, Mineralogy):

Topics: Applied petrography and experimental Volcanology, Physical and Chemical Properties of Melt and Minerals, Silicate Melt Structure and Dynamics, textural analysis of bubble –BSD-  and crystals –CSD.

Methodologies:
Rheological properties determination (concentric cylinder rheometer, micropenetration method for viscosity measurements, differential  scanning calorimeter). Kinetics of crystal  evolution by decompression and overheating experiments (EHPV, IHPV, CSPV, TZM). Textural image analysis (polarized and electronic microscope - SEM - microprobe). Experience of specific geological  softwares as ImageJ, Foams, Melts, Petrograph, Sigmaplot,  KaleidaGraph.
